Light Pro Expo 2007 was a huge success! Over the years, LPE has become like a fine wine - it just keeps getting better with age. The vision to create an environment of “Hands on by doing” photography is a great concept. This years’ event confirms, once again, that it works. With a couple years behind us we are expanding to the National level with a total of two hands on lighting seminars for 2008. In 2008, Light Pro Expo will continue to have shooting labs set to make certain you have plenty of time to shoot with the models of your choice. Instructors will split their time… some in theater style presentation and some hands on in the shooting lab. At Light Pro Expo we encourage each attendee to participate “Hands On” The “coach” addition in 2006 is proving to be a key element to Light Pro Expo and will continue. Each shooting area is outfitted with state of the art equipment and is ready whenever the instructor is ready to shoot. Coaches are always ready to help with any questions. As your instructor shoots, you will shoot too. Problems can be worked out hands on, and questions can be asked as they arise. Light Pro Expo Nashville is the result of numerous requests for an additional seminar available in a different time of the year and more centralized location. The same teaching concepts and philosophy will be featured in this Spring/ Summer event. We are pleased to offer a "Buy one full access registration for the Nashville seminar and get an additional registration at no additional charge". This special offer is applicable to the Nashville Expo only and must include a four night registration at the host hotel.
One of the most successful parts of Light Pro Expo is the "Shooting Lab", which allows a participate to do live shooting with his/her own camera, under the direction of the Light Pro Expo coaches. This part of the seminar is one of the most popular and beneficial opportunities of the entire show. Hours have been extended to include 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM. The historic Millennium Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee will combine the ambience of creativity, history, talent and fun with the lecture series, hands-on shooting, live models, and Print Competition to cement a memorable seminar. If you did not attend Light Pro Expo 2007, I am here to tell you the print competition and banquet was a great way to end such an amazing event. There was a wide range of images submitted from beginner to loan quality, so don’t be intimidated if you are in a steep learning curve. When you attend, you will want to participate in the print competition. Over $10,000 in prizes were awarded this year and we will look forward to more in ’08.
